"Clean-ical" beauty brand Odacite recently launched a high-tech Nano-Infusion Pro Pen as part of an exclusive facial at The Spa at The West Hollywood Edition Hotel.

The Odacite Nano-Infusion Pro Pen opens thousands of micro-channels in the skin for deeper delivery of the brand's botanical and clinical actives. It is gentler than microneedling, however, able to noninvasively offer visible results and no downtime.

My Nano-Infusion Facial Experience

I was delighted to try out this new treatment myself, so I headed to The West Hollywood Edition Hotel, where I met expert esthetician Jennifer.

Once we were in the treatment room, Jennifer and I first discussed my skin care concerns: dark spots, dull appearance and dryness. We decided that I would benefit most from the Nano-Infusion Brightening Facial (50 min./$325), with its potent vitamins C and E, nutrients and hyaluronic acid blending with an illuminating facial massage to revitalize my skin in record time.

Jennifer began the treatment by having me inhale the rose aromatherapy deeply three times. She then performed a gentle double cleanse, featuring micellar water infused with holy basil, and spritzed my face and neck with a lovely rose mist

Next came a resurfacing rose gommage mask. While that sat, Jennifer performed an incredible neck and scalp massage using deep pressure—which happens to be my favorite!

After she removed the gommage with a hot towel, it was time for the nano-infusion. Jennifer applied the brightening serum and explained that people sometimes find the vibrations of the pen ticklish before beginning the pen portion.

To me, the nano-infusion felt more like a mini-percussion massage, especially around those areas where I hold a lot of facial tension: the jaw, mouth and between the eyes. Jennifer worked in quadrants, gently passing the pen across my face, for just a couple of minutes.

Once the nano-infusion was complete, Jennifer applied the soothing Blue Balm, made with blue chamomile and squalane. She performed a signature Refresh & Illuminate facial massage, which involved some lymphatic drainage techniques and compression around my upper orbital area. My facial muscles were already pretty relaxed by the nano-infusion pen, so this put me right over the edge into total bliss.

The facial finished with applications of eye and lip serum, moisturizer and SPF. Jennifer waited for me outside the treatment room with a tasty wellness shot, infused with detoxifying charcoal and pineapple. As she walked me back to the lounge, she gave me important post-care instructions: No exfoliation for a week and lots of sunscreen.

The brightening facial is supposed to firm the skin and create a fresh, healthy lookand it delivered on all fronts. My face was velvety-smooth for days and, most importantly to me, my usual monthly hormonal breakout just never came! It's safe to say that natural botanicals and clinical techniques are the way forward for me.
