Teranka has partnered with OPO on a new series of treatments using traditional Ayurvedic techniques alongside aromatherapy practices for guests to focus on the self. The wellness series also offers experiences led by local experts including stargazing, skin workshops and off-beat hikes for guests to delve deeper into their wellbeing.

The treatments combine the power of breath work and carefully curated soundscapes with guided meditation to reduce stress and anxiety while promoting relaxation, focus and energy. Via the OPO app, guests can embark on a series of self-guided meditation, discover sunset rituals, stargazing sound baths, group meditation classes and a guide to aligning with one’s circadian rhythm.

Tapping into both local and international practitioners, each session is inspired by the elements of Teranka – air, water and land. Rotating on a weekly basis, guests can expect stargazing with the Formentera Astronomical Association, massage therapy sessions and workshops with industry expert Frederika Van Hagen to become an expert at reading skin needs and devise individual treatment plans for the best skin yet.

Teranka Rituals provides guests with a menu of practices and therapies to disconnect using botanical aromatherapy and massage techniques. The Kanso Shirochampi Massage is a traditional Ayurvedic massage technique that uses marma points therapy, focusing on the feet and head to help sustain the body’s flow of energy, while Teranka’s Balinese Massage combines soft movements with pressure and essential oils to activate vital energy to create unison between the body, mind and spirit.

Also available to guests throughout September and October are guided off-beat hikes with a resident expert who takes guests along Migjorn’s crystalline shores through the beautiful fig tree Figueres de Can Toni Mestre and onto the fourth-century archaeological site of Can Blai.

Amenities at Teranka include cabanas or day beds, hammocks amongst the pine trees, a rooftop view, daily sunrise yoga, an outdoor kitchen and bar and a jungle-style outdoor gym equipped with apparatus made from natural materials and an outdoor deck for personal training sessions. There is also an option to curate personalized retreat programs.

Teranka is nestled on the wilder, southern side of Formentera on the Migjorn beach. The boutique hotel has 35 guest rooms and suites opened for its first full season this year under new ownership; Luxury Hotel Partners (LHP), umbrella brand behind the legendary Marbella Club and co-owners of Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay.
