Jacqueline Berry has been appointed group director of spa and wellbeing for Miraval Group, the collection of award-winning wellness destinations. She brings more than 25 years of spa and wellness experience to the role.
In her new position, Berry oversees the Life in Balance Spas and their integrative well-being programming across the Miraval Resorts portfolio. She plans to collaborate with each property to reinforce Miraval’s mission and honor the past by supporting the brand's signature treatments.
Previously, Berry served as general manager at Miraval Life in Balance Spa at Monarch Beach Resort, where she introduced new spa services and creative expression classes, a mindful eating experience and more than 30 fitness, yoga and meditation classes. Prior to that, she held positions at renowned destinations including Lake Austin Spa Resort, Canyon Ranch and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Berry's passion for spa and well-being began at age 16, when she had injuries from a car accident treated with massage therapy. Moved by the healing power of touch, she eventually became a licensed massage therapist and is still licensed today. She is also certified to teach group fitness and Zumba.
In her spare time, Berry enjoys connecting with nature alongside her dog, taking dance classes, making jewelry, traveling and spending time seaside.
“Jacqueline has demonstrated an excellent ability to bring spa and wellness concepts to life, and I am thrilled to see her assume this new position at Miraval Resorts,” said Simon Marxer, associate vice president spa and wellbeing of Miraval Resorts & Spas.
