Universal Companies Awards $8,000 to Beauty Schools

The scholarships were awarded to Marinello student applicants from the Skin and Body Care Programs, and to Delta Career Education Corporation’s scholarship program.

Spa supplier Universal Companies recently presented the BEAUTY FOR LIFE FOUNDATION with $5,000 to benefit Marinello Schools of Beauty students. Five $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Marinello student applicants from the Skin and Body Care Programs. The selection criteria included submitting an original essay about their career/life goals and how they want to contribute to the industry.

Universal Companies also presented $3,000 to Delta Career Education Corporation’s Scholarship Program. Delta Career Education Corporation is an educational services company that operates for-profit post-secondary schools, serving the growing need for career-oriented education in the new service economy. Delta’s schools offer career-focused degree and diploma programs in fields with high employer demand, including business, criminal justice, medical, drafting and design, education, healthcare administration, technology, skilled trades, cosmetology, esthetics, and massage. Delta’s core mission is to provide educational programs that deliver real-life career skills and lead directly to employment upon graduation.

Universal Companies has also opened a first of its kind Wellness & Beauty Learning Center in Southern California. The Company will provide classes and on-site training in the new 8,500 sq. ft. facility located in Torrance, California. Advanced continuing education will be offered for a broad range of wellness and beauty professionals, including spa and med-spa practitioners, estheticians, massage therapists, salon technicians, independent practitioners, and solo-preneurs.
