On December 4, 2017 Dermalogica hosted three simultaneous brunches to honor and recognize the brand’s Professional Skin Therapists. More than 200 Tribe members gathered at the Dermalogica Learning Loft in New York City, brand headquarters in Los Angeles and the International Dermal Institute in Chicago, where they were treated to gifting and pampering stations, an early product reveal, and the opportunity to reunite and connect with their peers as well as Dermalogica leaders. For those outside the hosting areas, Dermalogica held a contest offering three skin therapists the opportunity to be flown in to the Los Angeles event.

Members of the Dermalogica leadership team served as hosts for each event:
Los Angeles – Three speakers welcomed guests at the brand’s corporate headquarters. Founder and Chief Visionary, Jane Wurwand gave a warm welcome, acknowledging that salon owners and skin therapists built Dermalogica; she also recognized that that some guests in the room had been among the first to use Dermalogica when the brand launched 30 years ago. Wurwand introduced Dr. Angela Murphy, Vice President of Technology and Development, who teased upcoming Professional product launches and service innovations. Jennifer Ahartz, Global Curriculum Developer, acted as MC, outlining the day’s events and activations so guests could make the most of their time.
Chicago – Beth Bialko, Associate Director of Global Curriculum at the International Dermal Institute headlined the Chicago event. Bialko originates from Chicago and worked as a Master Instructor at the International Dermal Institute there, before moving to Los Angeles to join the global education team. Bialko announced the launch of Dermalogica’s new podcast, Living Skin by Dermalogica, which went live on Google Play Music and iTunes that day, featuring an inaugural interview with Jane Wurwand. The podcast will drop new episodes weekly, and feature stories and insight on skin health and treatment technology from the skin experts at Dermalogica.

She has taught extensively throughout the U.S., United Kingdom, Europe and Asia, specializing in advanced skin care modalities and techniques.
Attendees were invited to participate in a variety of activations during the events, including:
- Intention Wall: Professional Skin Therapists were asked to write down a goal for 2018 and add them to an installation wall to help build a customized mosaic of intentions for the coming year.
- Get. Glow. Stations: Dermalogica’s holiday campaign was brought to life through three interactive stations.
- Give: At this gifting station, attendees could create customized terrariums. Guests were provided with branded glass, colored sand and botanicals to assemble their take-away.
- Get: Chair massages were provided on-site to help guests get off their feet, which, as a skin therapist performing treatments, they may stand on for hours every day.
- Glow: 10-Minute FaceFits were offered to attendees, allowing them the opportunity to enjoy the treatment they often give, and leave with glowing skin.
- Sneak Peek of the Brand’s Upcoming January Launches: Professional Skin Therapists could participate in a sensory experience teasing the brand’s upcoming launches, including a first reveal of one new product.
