Nearly three decades ago, world renowned actor, Paul Newman started a free camp where kids could escape the growing fears of isolation caused by their medical conditions. This singular camp sparked a crusade of 30 new camps and programs serving the needs of children and families around the world, creating a global system known as the SeriousFun Children’s Network. These programs are purposefully designed to foster independence, resilience and personal growth, while helping children see beyond their medical conditions and to experience all that life has to offer.
Each year, SeriousFun Children’s Network hosts a fun-filled evening to celebrate the global family of camps and programs founded by Paul Newman. The gala, which took place at Pier Sixty in New York City on May 23rd, 2017, honored Chris Dodd, Chairman & CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America. It was a star studded event, with appearances by Hillary Clinton, Jimmy Fallon, Tom Hanks, Julianna Margulies, and the SeriousFun Campers. ColorProof Color Authority is a proud sponsor of SeriousFun Children’s Network, with founders Jim and Cheryl Markham in attendance, supporting this special cause for over 10 years and paying homage to their friend, Paul Newman. In addition, ColorProof donated 500 products and contributed to the charities continuous efforts to create fun and safe environments for children of all circumstances and backgrounds.
