DAYSPA blogs from the 8th Annual Global Spa & Wellness Summit in Morocco

Global leaders of the spa and wellness industry will gather this week at the Four Seasons Resort in Marrakech, Morocco, for the 8th annual Global Spa & Wellness Summit, which is being held for the first time on the continent of Africa.

My amazing job allows me to travel to interesting and far-flung places, and this week I am fortunate enough to be part of the delegation for the Summit. Over 400 attendees from 45 countries are convening for three action-packed days of keynotes, breakouts, networking, panels and research presentations on the business of health and wellness.

This year the “>>Fast Forward” conference theme intends to inspire attendees to direct their businesses and organizations toward coming developments in technology, retail, architecture and design that will be impactful in the near future.

The second annual Global Wellness Tourism Conference will occur on Day 1 of the Summit, and will showcase some of the Moroccan wellness rituals and traditions that contribute to its rapid growth as a wellness tourism market.
