Sarah Elazis, owner of Sculptery, crafted two unique wellness experiences that use ice and wood tools to sculpt, contour and shape the face and body. Neither of these therapies are "new" to the industry, with both traveling through ancient Roman cultures to modern society, but Elazis has taken these treatments and crafted a unique technique through meticulous research on both therapies. We sat down with Sculptery to learn all about this unique treatment.
Describe the wood and ice sculpting procedure.
Sarah Mona, Sculptery expert: Well it’s definitely a love-hate relationship that we form during our sessions! We start off with our SculpteryWood Treatment which focuses on creating circulation, breaking down fat cells and starting the activation process of your lymphatic system. This is the comfortable, warm part of the treatment which usually takes about 30 minutes. We focus on using custom unique wood tools that help break down stubborn fat cells and sculpt the body to the hourglass figure we all desire.
Next, we go into our Sculptery Ice Treatment. This is where the love-hate relationship instantly goes into effect. It’s an icy experience using cold, metal tools that will continue to break down the fat cells, along with our Custom Snatchsicle Body Ice. This part of the treatment is about 10 to 15 minutes and it is icy. Guests hate me during this part, but they love me after because of the results!
What are the external benefits?
Mona: There are a multitude of external benefits starting with, of course, being snatched! Guests notice a more toned and defined body. In addition, treatments are great for cellulite and skin tightening. Our selection of curated raw ingredients that make up our Snatchsicle Ices help with overall skin health, resulting in smoother, firmer and glowing skin.
What are the internal benefits?
Mona: Our treatments focus on activating the lymphatic system, which is our “garbage can” for our body. During the 72 hours post-treatment, the body will go through a “flush out stage,” meaning that it's flushing out waste or anything else that is blocking the lymphatic system from its proper activation. Our treatments were originally created as health treatments, but we turned them into beauty treatments. They’re designed to help support good blood flow, oxygen, circulation, metabolism and digestion. It is important to drink a lot of water after the treatments to encourage the activation process of the lymphatic system and to improve overall results.
Are there other spa treatments that complement this offering?
Mona: Yes definitely. We offer a wide range of additional treatments such as cavitation, radiofrequency and vacuum therapy. When guests come in for their first session, we discuss their goals and customize a plan that works best for them. Everyone’s body is different and responds differently to our treatments. We never like to over promise and under deliver, which is why we tailor treatments to the individual.
What do your clients love about this service?
Mona: Definitely the results. Clients are expecting certain results and they are receiving them. They also love our products. They love that they can go home and do some “Self Sculpting” in between sessions to achieve better results. They love that the products are clean and are original.
They also love the experience. We truly become BFFs by the time our session is over. They are so intimate, and I believe our clients see and love our passion and commitment to being the best for them. They love the education and knowledge they receive during our sessions. I believe our clients know that they are not just coming in to get a treatment, but to receive an experience.
How does this treatment boost business?
Mona: I definitely believe Sculptery treatments are one of a kind. We are not your traditional Wood and Ice treatments. Maderoterapia, another term for Wood Therapy, has been around for centuries. There are many versions of it. From the Colombian to the Brazilian to the Mexican, the list goes on. Sculptery treatments are a combination of the best techniques from around the world. We’ve taken an ancient modality and re-invented it to give the best results. This keeps us unique in the industry and in the continued growth direction of being the best.
