3 Wellness Destinations That Have Opened in 2021

Nearing the end of a tumultuous year, we've seen a rise in health and wellness-based properties opening seemingly everywhere. Here are three of the latest openings in the U.S.

1. IntoMeSea 

IntoMeSea in Santa Monica, CA, is healing studio that incorporates therapies from around the worldparticularly Floatation Meditation. The studio is 5,500 sq. ft. and has three private suites featuring floatation tanks filled with skin temperature, Epsom salt-rich water. IntoMeSea’s available floatation therapies focus on Float, Soak, Light, Energy, Salt, Sweat and Flow.

Float suites are designed to ensure that internal and external sensory signals are minimized and the floater can find a deep state of tranquility, relaxation, happiness and peace. Options for chromotherapy and sonotherapy (color and sound healing) are available as enhancements.

IntoMeSea commissioned master craftsmen from Brazil to hand carve two white quartz crystal soaking tubs for intention setting and energetic healing, as well. Guests can also enjoy a post-float relaxation lounge, salt therapy, infrared sauna experience, virtual reality immersion, showers, and regular classes and special events for the community.

2. The Spa at The Wharf 

InterContinental Washington, D.C. – The Wharf has debuted The Spa at The Wharf, a full-service spa concept in partnership with ISM Spa. The Spa at The Wharf offers customizable treatments using signature products by Privai. Located on the third floor of the hotel, it's nearly 4,000 sq. ft. and includes four therapy rooms, an intimate couples room, nail salon, luxury locker room and shower facilities. Guests can speak to a trained therapist about their wellness goals and areas of preference to ensure their needs are met, and they can add enhancements to tailor their treatments, including detoxifying dry brush exfoliation, scalp therapy for massages, LED therapy and corrective peels. Manicure, pedicure and waxing services are all on the menu as well. 

3. The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans 

The Spa at The Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans is dedicated to the joy of looking and feeling good. The Spa boasts eight treatment rooms, including a couple’s room, two relaxation rooms, sauna, steam, Jacuzzi, and his and her locker rooms. Among the spa's signature treatments are: the Triple Lift Facial, a 120-minute antiaging treatment combining active serums, the Remodeling Machine and the Micropuncture Lab; and The Southern Gentleman, a therapeutic massage inspired by New Orleans’ famed Sazerac cocktail, that targets key areas where men often carry tension using a rye whiskey-infused oil.
