The Entrepreneurship Training Program harnesses the power of the world’s leading professional skin care and education companies – Dermalogica and The International Dermal Institute – to provide support for women in the salon industry. The Professional Beauty Industry’s economic report shows that the U.S. salon and spa industry has registered steady growth over the last decade, and outperformed the overall economy in 11 of the last 14 years. As an industry comprised of 85% women, 31% who are self-employed, and with 61% of all salon businesses owned by women, Dermalogica sees an enormous opportunity to empower women economically by creating industry-specific business skills curriculum.
