What is your favorite memory of your time in this industry?
At a previous property earlier in my career, I had the honor of providing services for a young lady who was granted a wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Connecting with a foundation that has such an impact on families will always stay in my heart. Later, I began providing services at MySpa Miami for the Make-A-Wish Gala each year.
What’s your advice for those just getting started in the industry?
Practice being kind to yourself, give yourself grace and remember that balance is a priority.
What wellness trends do you find most exciting?
Spiritual well-being has been an intriguing topic and modality, personally. People are now embracing the fact that they need more, beyond exercise and healthy eating. For a long time in spa, we practiced modalities that are ancient or derived from traditional practices, but we often neglect the breathwork and meditation, or the intentionality of connecting to something greater than ourselves. It excites me to see more of that being brought into the spa in a way that guides guests without fear or stigma.
What’s the first thing you do after work?
Shower! I love a great shower after a long day. If I am up to it, I may run myself a bath with CBD or aromatherapy.

What’s your greatest accomplishment?
I strongly believe that each day is an accomplishment, whether it be connecting with staff, hitting forecasted numbers or making a guest experience everlasting. These are all contributions, and I am learning to appreciate each day for what it has given.
What’s your favorite treatment to receive?
Our Enchanted Sleep service is my favorite treatment, when I can get it. It aligns your circadian rhythm, and I must say that our therapists are the epitome of blessed hands.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Good food and music. I don’t think I feel guilty about it at all though, especially Caribbean food and music.
What inspires you?
Family, legacy and our future as a community and a nation. I am also mindful of what I put into the people that I come into contact with. A little goes a long way; it seems cliché, but it’s the truth. So, I am very mindful because everything has an impact. Family is the starting point.
