Location: Praiano, Italy
The Lowdown:
Sitting atop the cliffs of Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Casa Angelina is a 39-room property that regularly undergoes a series of upgrades and renovations to keep it feeling fresh and new. Although the hotel was built in the 1970s, it blends its chic design with down-to-earth luxury thanks to Antonino Cappiello, who purchased the oceanfront property over 10 years ago and enlisted architects Gennaro Fusco and Francesco Savarese to oversee the yearly renovations.
Standout Features:
Casa Angelina’s new features for 2018 include a couple’s massage room, which offer specialized massages incorporating aromatherapy, reflexology and reiki; and a relaxation terrace overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, which includes a porch swing and chaise longues, and features a menu of healthy snacks and drinks. New treatments have also been added to the spa menu: the Casa Angelina Orange Blossom Ritual (75 min./$298) implements indigenous Amalfi orange blossoms and features a foot massage, salt and oil body scrub, and Swedish massage; Escape to the Beach (90 min. excluding lunch/$521) includes a full body exfoliation, Swedish massage, Skin Radiance Facial and healthy lunch while overlooking the ocean. Finally, guests now have the option of receiving select outdoor treatments on the garden terrace.
