Mohonk Mountain House created its Winter Wellbeing Collection to bring guests the warmth and coziness that they crave during the cold winter season. The collection features spa, fitness and mindfulness components.

Spa

The spa portion focuses on relaxation with two standout offerings.

Winter Warmth Herbal Wrap. Designed to release impurities and soothe tense and aching muscles, this wrap uses rosemary, eucalyptus and black pepper as its key ingredients. The wrap treatment is coupled with a relaxing scalp massage to ease sinus congestion. To further enhance the benefits, therapists also perform a gemstone facial using a hydrogel facial mask with amethyst powder.

Winter Wellness Massage. This treatment uses Swedish techniques and warm basalt stones to balance, restore, revive and boost immunity. The massage is combined with a sinus-relieving eucalyptus inhalation therapy and a hydrating foot treatment. It can be extended at home with a personalized immunity-boosting essential oil gift.

Fitness

Through fitness elements, this wellness experience is focus on enjoying the outdoors for optimal health.

Immunity Boosting Qigong. Through the use of qigong, an ancient form of Chinese meditative exercise, this activity restores the natural flow of energy in the body. By integrating posture, movement, breath technique, self-massage and focused intent, the guest's body and mind can rebalance and recover, thus strengthening immunity.

Hike the Trails. Either by joining in on a daily guided hike or embarking on their own, guests can immerse themselves in nature and absorb the winter sunlight and fresh mountain air, thus boosting the body's natural vitamin D and immune response. This activity can boost overall mood as well.

Mindfulness

The mindfulness elements of Mohonk's winter programming focus on self-care through meditation and mind-body connection. Specifically, by incorporating even mini-meditations into their daily lives, guests can bolster their immune system with a stronger mind-body connection.

Mindfulness and Positive Psychology: A Self-Care Sampler. This private session with Nina Smiley, PhD, director of mindfulness programming at Mohonk Mountain House, teaches guests how to develop a mind-body connection to strengthen their immune system and build internal resilience. Guests can discover how to integrate essential techniques into their everyday lives that help to naturally cultivate a positive mindset.
