2022 Wellness Trends from Luxury Hotels

Luxury properties around the world are focusing on the importance of guests' mental and physical wellness. Offerings like chakra classes, wellness weekends, proof cocktails and more are becoming more mainstream as people look to cleanse the mind, body and soul. Here are some of the latest wellness programs from a range of properties. 

The Asbury

(Asbury Park, NJ) The Asbury is offering a seven-week educational series centered around chakras. Classes will be led by Tiffany Wallace and Marz Niedrich, founders of Your Favorite Gems. Participating guests and locals will learn to strengthen their connection to self while using breathwork, yoga, sounds, colors, nutrition, scents, affirmations, mantras and energy work to unblock and balance the chakras.

The Logan

(Philadelphia) The Logan invites visitors to indulge in its Taste of Spring package, where they are provided with tools to encourage well-being beyond physical health. It includes an in-room “happy light” to energize and boost mood, a soothing shea butter wrap treatment designed to replenish and nourish skin, complimentary drinks for two, and a later checkout to catch some extra sleep. 

Morrison House 

(Alexandria, VA) Morrison House debuted its Mindful New Year package rooted in self-care. It includes a guided journal full of prompts to help set intentions and track self-care practices, an adult coloring book for stress relief and relaxation, an in-room Himalayan salt experience, and an array of organic herbal tea blends for the guestroom. 

Arlo SoHo 

(New York City) Arlo SoHo is hosting a wellness pop-up, with two 45-minute classes from Flexit, meditation classes, on-the-go infrared sauna experiences and curated stretches. Additionally, Arlo's Well + Fit program, in collaboration with Flexit, will allow guests on-demand access to fitness classes to sculpt, tone and feel empowered.

Andaz Wellness Suites

At Andaz 5th Avenue, the hotel’s wellness suites include amenities centered on health, well-being and self-care, such as The Mirror Gym by Lululemon, an Airweave mattress, Mini Bar RX program and more. Recently, Hotel Figueroa introduced its Rest & Recovery Suite, with personalized pillow preferences from Pluto Pillow; a customizable Pod mattress from the world’s first sleep fitness company, Eight Sleep; in-room workout opportunities through fitness mirror FORME; and more. 

Thompson Hotels 

The Culture Lives Here campaign offers introspective, healing experiences inspired by each destination’s local culture. From artistic endeavors to enhanced mindfulness tools, Thompson Hotels properties have introduced immersive offerings, such as a personalized haiku pop-up to a special hemp add-on for groups at Thompson Austin, with whole-plant hemp products from Mills Miller’s brand MINERAL
