Waldorf Astoria Chicago Debuts First-Of-Its-Kind Group Wellness Offerings
The Waldorf Astoria Chicago invites event and meeting attendees, as well as guests to experience enrichments through a series of newly introduced wellness offerings centered around spa, mindfulness, and movement that have been created for in-house groups. Whether attending weddings, conferences or other events held in the hotel, groups are encouraged to enhance their functions with a series of tailored workshops and wellness experiences designed to be done together, alongside individual spa treatments that can be added. These new offerings allow group guests to collectively embrace harmony for mind, body and soul.
New Group Wellness Workshops are ideal for corporate events, wedding parties and other group travelers. These classes are diverse and connect the art of being present and finding inner harmony. An example is the Tarot Card Reading, where groups are able to unlock profound and personalized insights in the company of others. Evolving from the hotel’s New Moon Ritual series is the Inner Peace Journaling Ritual where attendees are guided to nurture serenity through journaling and the Breath Work and Guided Meditation where guests intuitively select a crystal to assist in the process of astral projection and soul retrieval. Groups may also finish with the Massage & Mocktails workshop, where hotel mixologists craft mocktails while massage therapists aid in melting away the stresses and ultimately leaving guests feeling rejuvenated and energized.
For more active wellness experiences, Group Wellness Classes offered include Guided Meditation & Sound Bath Ritual, along with a range of strength and cardio classes like Pilates or a Guided Jog Tour, and more. For relaxing and restorative experiences, group guests can book an assortment of specialized treatments at the Spa, such as the Waldorf Signature Massage, tailored to suit their unique preferences and provide invigorating relief, or the Himalayan Salt Stone Massage, for a fusion of gentle exfoliation, alkaline nourishment and salt therapy.
Corporate group guests may also opt for the Calming Slumber Jet Lag Recovery Treatment, which has been designed to alleviate inflammation and promote relaxation. Exclusively for wedding party guests are Bespoke In-Suite Treatments that can be arranged through a dedicated Spa Attaché, who can facilitate a range of therapeutic treatments coupled with champagne.

What's New at Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort
Sensei Lāna’i is rolling out a variety of new wellness experiences for guests ranging from innovative spa treatments and classes to dedicated 1:1 services with their team of expert Sensei Guides. Additionally, the retreat has announced a curated hiking retreat coming this fall for those looking to immerse themselves in the natural wonders of Lānaʻi and connect with like-minded wellness travelers.
At the core of Sensei’s well-being programs are private consultations with skilled wellness practitioners and Sensei Guides to help guests achieve their health goals that may include fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and more. Sensei launched a Body Composition 1:1 where guests experience a SECA machine that provides insight into each person’s unique makeup. Included in the session, a highly credentialed Sensei Guide provides a comprehensive analysis of key body metrics such as muscle mass, body fat, and hydration to provide guests with more insight into their baseline health metrics and how these may be impacting their goals.
The property has also rolled out new Sleep 1:1 and Sensory Eating 1:1 sessions. During the Sleep 1:1, Sensei Mindset Guides help guests analyze sleep patterns and behaviors using data from a WHOOP 4.0 wearable device to equip them with evidence-based strategies to achieve restorative sleep. The Sensory Eating 1:1 is led by a Sensei Nutrition Guide and emphasizes the importance of a restful state during mealtime to promote appetite, facilitate digestion and maintain healthy eating habits. For guests who want to continue their wellness journey, My Progress 1:1 is a new virtual session with a Sensei Guide to provide ongoing support after they depart.
Active guests can experience a blend of restorative massage techniques with the Recover & Renew Sports Massage. Following a functional assessment to analyze guests’ movement patterns, guests will unwind with a scalp massage to stimulate circulation followed by gentle stretches that move to deeper strokes, restoring balance and releasing tension from overworked muscles. The new Gua Sha Facial will incorporate the ancient technique used to uplift the skin through tailored sculpting rituals that restore, revive and oxygenate the skin.
Sensei Lānaʻi will be hosting a fall hiking retreat over Nov. 7-12, 2024. The six-day, five-night retreat invites hiking enthusiasts of all abilities to enjoy easy-to-moderate trails that combine views of Lānaʻi’s landscapes with a deep dive into the Hawaiian island’s history and culture. Highlights of the retreat include three moderate and scenic guided hikes including Kānepuʻu + Keahiakawelo, Hiʻi Trail and Kaiholena, four spa treatments, a 1:1 wellbeing session, a scenic sunset sail and more.
Dior Partners With MedTech Brand For Skin Care Product
Dior Spas have collaborated with INDIBA to create that unique experience, DIOR-FREQUENCIES, that is available in a selection of Dior Spas starting in July 2024. This signature treatment combines radiofrequency with the skin care techniques of the Dior Spa Well-being Experts. A set of electrodes for the face and body was specially designed for the House protocols. The Multi-bead Petal was inspired by Dior Prestige, and sculpts the face, acting on the visible signs of age.
Presented as a preview aboard the Dior Spa Cruise, the body treatment sculpts, drains, tones and offers preparation for sports activities. The treatment can be adapted according to the needs of the guest, to focus on the stomach or posterior areas as desired. It stimulates collagen and fibroblasts in the skin to ensure a tightening effect and to reduce fat deposits. On the face, the results in terms of skin rejuvenation are notable and confirmed over each session, from a reduction in wrinkles to redefined facial contours, neck and décolleté.
