3. New Wellness Activities at Goodstone Inn & Restaurant

Goodstone Inn and Restaurant is offering a new activities program that focuses on providing its guests with a truly restorative experience. Designed by the new activities manager, Greg McCarley, the inn's on-site activities fall into three categories:

  • Holistic Activities: Guests can start their day at Goodstone with a Tai Chi session led by McCarley. This complimentary, 45 minute session focuses on mindfulness through slow movements, breathing and body-mind awareness. Learn the basics of Tai Chi and how to apply them in everyday life for relaxation, balance and grounding.
  • Recreational Activities: Goodstone sits on 265 acres of rolling hills, with a creek and pond on the property. Guests can explore the expansive wilderness through guided nature hikes where they'll experience forest bathing — the practice of immersing yourself in nature using all of the senses to reconnect with the outdoors. Afterward, guests will walk to the pond for a guided canoe or kayak adventure.
  • Culinary Activities: End a day of mindful reconnection to nature with Goodstone's unique Matcha and Green Tea experience, combined with mindful meditations to awaken the senses. During the activity, guests explore visual, aroma, taste, touch and sound techniques aimed at heightening the sensory awareness.
