1. The Spa at The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai

The Spa at The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai offers a luxe environment that connects guests with nature. Nestled in the heart of a floating garden of mangroves, the facility features six private indoor-outdoor treatment rooms, three vitality pools, a full-service salon, relaxation lounge, Turkish hamman, and state-of-the-art sauna and shower facilities.

Inspired by the cenotes nearby, The Spa is meant to mirror the experience of being cradled within. As part of this cenote inspiration, a glass ceiling offers views into the terrestrial world above, including the massive rippling bamboo structure that serves as the resort’s dedicated yoga pavilion. The Spa is located at the center of the expansive beachfront property, built using natural materials that complement the lush greenery and natural light. 

Centered around local florals and aromatics, with a focus on wellness, mindfulness and one-on-one connection with its therapists and estheticians, The Spa has cabana-style treatment rooms each named after white flowers native to the area. Within, skilled team members perform unique, locally inspired therapies including:

  • EDITION Signature Massage, which uses Swedish techniques and a black tea scented massage oil designed to tap into feelings of well-being and comfort.
  • Kanai Signature Detox Body Wrap, comprised of a remineralizing scrub and a detoxifying, brightening moringa body mask.
  • The Oxygen Facial, a ritual to increase oxygenation through awareness of breath. Activated charcoal and effervescent carbon dioxide triggers microcirculation and stimulates skin’s natural oxygenation.

2. K’In Spa & Wellness Center

Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection, recently unveiled a renovation and expansion to its signature K’In Spa & Wellness Center. The upscale resort, located on the island of Ambergris Caye in San Pedro Town, Belize, spans more than 20 acres, with 155 guestrooms and suites set against the backdrop of the Belizean coast. The spa's expansion provides a rejuvenating space for guests to unwind, re-energize and indulge in a tailored spa experience.

The 2,070-square-foot K’In Spa & Wellness Center has three new treatment rooms, a sauna, boutique and expanded fitness center featuring state-of-the-art weightlifting equipment. The refreshed design aesthetic is evokes tranquility with light, earth tones, marble surfaces, porcelain fixtures and plush furnishings throughout.

Six treatment rooms deliver relaxation with a menu of Belizean-inspired treatments that range from massages, body wraps, facials, nail services and waxing. Signature treatments influenced by the surrounding Caribbean Sea include:

  • Seabreeze Massage, a gentle massage designed to unwind, with wave-like Belizean techniques to encourage circulation

The spa boutique sells products utilized throughout K’In Spa treatments as well as local handmade crafts and artisan goods.

The resort experience will continue to be enhanced following the construction of a new sea wall, slated to be unveiled in winter 2024. The sea wall will create an expanded pristine beach with 1,000 feet of ocean frontage.

3. Elemara Spa & Salon

San Juan’s beachfront lifestyle resort, La Concha Resort has opened its oceanfront spa, Elemara Spa & Salon. The only spa in Puerto Rico offering views of the beach, the spa is complete with seven treatment rooms, including two outdoor treatment rooms, a hair salon, nail services, and indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. As part of a property-wide renovation, the new wellness destination captures the spirit of the oceanfront location, while weaving in the beauty and power of the elements.

6. Cap Juluca Spa by Guerlain

Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, Anguilla, recently introduced the property’s new spa in collaboration with Guerlain. Cap Juluca Spa by Guerlain draws inspiration from Anguilla’s indigenous Arawak tribe, who celebrated the renewal and rejuvenation of each new day, while offering a harmonious connection with nature and a rebalance of energy. The private hideaway rests among the dazzling shores of Anguilla, where guests will enjoy a collection of exclusive Guerlain rituals.
