A relaxing oasis in the heart of the bustling city, The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia is Philadelphia’s only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Spa. Located on the 57th floor, the 17,000-square-foot space features seven treatment rooms, where guests can enjoy a comprehensive range of pampering spa and wellness experiences, including energy healing, massages, bodywork, facials, mani/pedis and hair services. The Spa’s fitness center also offers Pilates, yoga and personal training.
But treatments are not the only way that visitors experience holistic healing. The Spa was built using more than 700 pounds of crystals, which appear in the walls and throughout treatment areas, as a way of infusing healing energy every step of the way. Four Seasons Philadelphia also recently collaborated with Wellness for Cancer, so certified therapists are able to accommodate clients touched by the disease and make treatment adjustments accordingly.
WellSpa 360 sat down with Verena Lasvigne Fox, senior spa director of The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, to find out how this wellness haven best serves its discerning clientele.
What unique amenities set the spa apart?
The spa facility has a 30,000-gallon indoor infinity-edge pool overlooking the skyline; it is one of the highest-situated pools in North America. Both locker rooms offer guests an ice fountain to stimulate circulation after they use heat, such as the sauna and steam room. Relaxing in our anti-gravity chairs while overlooking the city of Philadelphia is a nice way to both start and end the treatment experience.
How are you marketing the spa?
Community Engagement: This year, Global Wellness Day coincided with the 2022 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, giving our spa team the opportunity to connect with a local and engaged audience and offer an immersive Singing Bowl Sound Therapy session. The experience was available throughout the day, and we held live virtual sessions on the FSPhiladelphia Instagram channel.
