The interior design is inspired by Indonesian rainforests and indigenous nature, using elements such as lava stone, copper, handwoven ikat textiles, wood carvings and shields to create a feeling of calm and elegance.

The Spa and fitness center are on levels 34 and 35, offering personalized treatments and natural beauty products to help guests refresh their bodies and minds. Wellness therapies, saunas and pools are all meant to relieve stress, and guests have access to Technogym cardiovascular equipment and certified personal trainers.

2. The Reef Playacar Resort and Spa, Mexico

The Reef Playacar Resort and Spa in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, unveiled a complete renovation of its signature spa, Ome. The spa is named for Ometeotl, the Mexican mythological god of creation.

Ome is more than 1,000 square feet and has been upgraded with organic, earthy elements like wood, grounding stones and water fixtures. Its Selvatic Gym takes advantage of the property's beautiful natural surroundings, allowing guests to work out while in nature. Guests and visitors can enjoy luxury treatments and other mindful body exercises set in the property’s verdant landscape.

Within Ome, guests can indulge in services such as:

  • 4 Elements, which uses Himalayan salt stones and Bao Bao oils;
  • Kanabi, curated to reduce inflammation and muscle pain;
  • A series of body treatments like Xocolatl, Mexiko and Xochitl.

The spa also offers a menu of facials, massages, reflexology and hot stone treatments. Yoga is available most days, including Sunset Yoga and Yoga on the Beach.
