O Valor do Tempo Group has partnered with mattress manufacturer Hästens to create the Hästens Sleep Spa Hotel in historic Coimbra, Portugal.
The Hästens Sleep Spa is described as a “micro-hotel” that includes shared spaces, like dining areas and a rooftop lounge, that are available exclusively to in-house guests. Each of the 15 bedrooms face either a river or a garden, and feature a Hästens limited edition Herlewing mattress, branded robes and pajamas.
In addition, the bathrooms are lined with hundreds of hand-carved, gold-plated marble book spines that correspond to actual titles guests can borrow. The available books all relate to mindfulness and sleep practices to improve well-being.
Hotel staff have been trained in the best practices of sleep, and the property offers time-specific music playlists, a pillow menu and an in-room channel of sleep health videos to promote high-quality rest and relaxation.
