The word “Miami” summons images of sparkling white sand and lilting azure waves. However, the iconic beach doesn’t tell the city’s whole story. Drive about 20 minutes inland and you hit the downtown area, which is commanding a lot of Floridians’ attention these days. Why? It’s the sought-after neighborhood of Brickell, a kind of mecca for the glam and sophisticated set, hungry for the area’s brand-new condominiums, excellent museums and vibrant restaurant scene.

Located on a 10-acre enclave at the north entrance of Brickell Avenue is Viceroy Miami Hotels Resorts Residences, whose owners had the forethought to open in the now-trendy district back in 2009. Today in Brickell, luxury condos are being built within blocks of one another—but none can compete with the Viceroy’s waterfront perch, affording sweeping views of Biscayne Bay that can be savored through the property’s glass-encased, 28,000-square-foot spa.

Often called one of America’s most beautiful spas, The Spa at Viceroy Miami has received accolades from coast to coast—even estheticians from top West Coast spas rave about this winner of two 2015 World Spa Awards in the categories of North America’s Best Hotel Spa and Florida’s Best Hotel Spa. Certainly, a quick Internet search yields gasp-worthy images of the stunning facility. However, there’s more to this spa than meets the eye: The Spa at Viceroy might draw in clients with its visual appeal, but its repeat business can be attributed to its attentive staff, heavenly treatments and on-target marketing.
