[2022 in Review] Top 10 Workout & Wellness Trends According to Mindbody

Strength training was the most popular workout for the second year in a row.

Mindbody and ClassPass released the 2022 ClassPass & Mindbody Look Back Report, which analyzes reservations to determine how consumers experienced fitness and wellness services in 2022. As such, the report revealed the 10 most popular workouts and 10 most popular wellness reservations this year.

Per the report, fitness reservations increased by 95% and wellness reservations increased by 62% compared to 2021. Sculpt classes were the fastest-growing workout in 2022, with bookings increasing by 471% from January to October. Acro Yoga also experienced significant growth, with reservations increasing 200% this year.

The most popular time and day to exercise was Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., and August and September were the most popular months to work out. The 60-minute time slot is the most popular class length.

Strength training was the most popular workout in 2022, with reservations increasing 94% this year. The most popular wellness booking in 2022 was massage.

Eyelash services made the list for the first time ever and were the fastest-growing spa and salon appointments in 2022. Per the report, lash lift bookings are up 2400% from January, and lash tinting is up 1611% this year.
