The Babor Beauty Group is making some influential changes to its management team next year, with the plan to reorganize it in 2022.

It's long-time managing director Michael Schummert is leaving the top management team by mutual agreement.

Starting in 2022, Schummert will hold the title of president premium private label and will support the Babor Beauty Group as an independent entrepreneur, focusing on expanding the Premium Private Label business from outside the company.

The Babor brand is having a second production and logistics site built 20 kilometers from their headquarters. To manage this growing complexity and to promote further internationalization, the owner family will fill the top management position in 2022. This position will complement the two managing directors Horst Robertz and Stefan Kehr.

The new management set up will reflect the development of the group, and is the basis for further growth in the years to come.

"The Babor Beauty Group has been an outperformer in the global cosmetics market for years – partly due to our diversification," said Isabel Bonacker, co-owner of Babor Beauty Group. "We see great potential in the premium private label business and are pleased that Michael Schummert will become a driving force in this area. We would like to thank him for his many years of excellent work at the Babor Beauty Group and are looking forward to continued success in this new set up."
