Virginia-based spa distributor Universal Companies is planning the Grand Opening for a first-of-its-kind Wellness & Beauty Learning Center, located in Torrance. The Learning Center, which officially opened in October, provides classes and on-site training in the new 6,700 sq. ft. facility. Advanced continuing education and related events are offered for a broad range of wellness and beauty professionals, including spa and med-spa practitioners, estheticians, massage therapists, salon technicians, independent practitioners and solo-preneurs.

- Students and instructors are invited to this grand opening event that will showcase opportunities for lifelong learning and career development. Spa professionals and their peers will learn about skin care, massage.
- Monday, February 22, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PST)
- School owners, managers, and administration will be welcomed with a tour and presentations that highlight the opportunity of lifelong learning in the spa industry. The Wellness and Beauty Learning Center is uniquely positioned to be a long-term partner for high-quality continuing education for educators and students. - This event will feature speakers, including Marti Morenings, Founder, and Brenda Elliott, CEO, Universal Companies, to commemorate the opening of the Center as the first campus of its kind in the spa industry. Speakers will share the importance for the community of developing a platform for continuing education and the benefits for spa professionals. Free valet parking and refreshments.

- Vendors will get an exclusive first look at the Wellness and Beauty Learning Center, where they can become part of the on-going educational opportunities, product/equipment showroom, events, and unique cooperative marketing opportunities available. In addition to classroom space, the Wellness & Beauty Learning Center will feature two fully equipped spa treatment rooms for live demonstrations and hands on training. A showroom for equipment, professional products, and supplies will also be on site, as well as meeting space for industry events. The new center will not only provide for a wide variety of educational opportunities, but will also provide a venue for after-hours special events where educators, customers, students, industry representatives, and Universal Companies vendor partners can meet and network face-to-face.
