Cortiva Institute instructor Dianna Lynn Jungels was awarded a $750 Successful Hands grant package at the American Massage Conference School Rally on May 1 at Massage Warehouse’s headquarters in Bolingbrook, IL. The Successful Hands Grant Program™, launched through the collaborative efforts of Biofreeze®, Massage Envy Spa® and Bon Vital’®, supports the professional massage therapy student and their schools. ONE Concept, the conference organizer, partnered with Biofreeze, Massage Envy Spa and Bon Vital’ to promote the grant program during the conference.

“As a relatively new instructor at the Cortiva Institute in Joliet, IL, I attended last week’s AMC conference knowing that it would benefit my teaching career and my personal growth. I truly enjoyed the experience and being surrounded by like-minded people who share my passions—massage for the past 20 years, and now teaching massage classes,” stated Ms. Jungels. “We’re planning to use the grant for an appreciation celebration for the Joliet campus. Everyone there has been such a great help to me in my new career, and they care deeply about the students and the school.” Cortiva Institute is a member of the Steiner Education Group, which is a subsidiary of Steiner Leisure Limited, a global provider of spa services.

“We are very grateful for the support that Performance Health and Massage Envy Spa provide year after year. They truly set the bar high for others in our profession,” added Scott Dartnall, President and CEO, ONE Concept. “And please let me use this opportunity to extend an invitation to the next American Massage Conference being held in Tinley Park (Chicago), IL June 11-14, 2015. Please visit www.AmericanMassageConference.com to register.”

“This year’s inspirational and educational conference included presentations by CG Funk, Vice President, Industry Relations and Product Development, Massage Envy Spa Franchising; Anne Williams, Education Program Director, Associated Massage and Bodyworks Professionals; Angie Patrick, Director of Business Development, Massage Warehouse; Dr. Jerrilyn Cambron, President, Massage Therapy Foundation board of trustees; and Donna Sarvelllo, Vice President of Educational Support, NCTMB,” said Lynda Solien-Wolfe, Vice President, Massage Therapy and Spa, Performance Health. “The conferences’ unique venue—Massage Warehouse’s headquarters—provided additional value and interest. As part of the conference, attendees received a behind-the-scenes peak into product distribution. I’m sure everyone left with a heightened appreciation for our industry’s processes, our profession and each other.
