On the evening of Tuesday, February 23rd, an intimate group of Universal Companies employees, VIPs, media and top spa partners converged on the company’s new Wellness & Beauty Learning Center in Torrance, California for an Exclusive Preview Event.

The gathering, which took place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the 6,700-square-foot Learning Center, offered several mini treatment options for attendees to enjoy, including Eco-fin Paraffin Alternative hand treatments, 10-minute massages and Cuccio Colour/Cuccio Naturalé manicures. A photo booth and a Universal Companies branded Step and Repeat provided plenty of photo ops, and guests nibbled on hors d’oeuvres. As the event few to a close, a drawing selected a half-dozen winners of product prizes, which included themed baskets and mystery grab bags. All attendees were gifted with goody bags filled with products from dozens of Universal Company brands.

A wide range of manufacturers were represented in the Center’s product displays, including á la mode, Alchimie Forever, Aqua de Soi, BaByliss, Biotone, Bon Vital, ComfortSoul, Control Corrective, Daily Concepts, Earthlite, Farmaesthetics, I Am Fragrance, Nufoot and SpaRitual.

The Exclusive Preview was just one of six celebrations being held at the Center throughout the week. On Monday, February 22nd, Universal Companies hosted an open house for educators and an event for education partners at the new center. On Tuesday morning, founder Marti Morenings and CEO Brenda Elliott participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony; a midday Vendor Preview gave brand representatives a chance to peruse the facilities and discover how they could become a part of the Center’s education offerings.

The biggest event took place on Wednesday, February 24th—an Open House for more than 100 attendees, who had a chance to indulge in all of the festivities offered on Tuesday evening, including product giveaways and mini-treatments.

Going forward, the Learning Center will host a myriad of continuing education on topics ranging from business strategy to waxing techniques, geared toward a broad range of wellness and beauty professionals, including spa and med-spa practitioners, estheticians, massage therapists, salon technicians, independent practitioners and solo entrepreneurs.
