1. What was your first job in the spa/wellness industry?
My very first experience in the spa/wellness industry was actually working in my mother and grandmother's hair salon. I started out young, helping out and observing. Even then, I was fascinated by the transformations I witnessed and how good it made people feel about themselves. That experience really instilled in me the desire to create an elevated experience for my clients, to go beyond the surface and provide a true sense of escape and well-being.
2. What is your favorite memory of your time working in this industry?
Without a doubt, it was opening my first location in River Oaks. That was a huge leap of faith! I had actually gone through massage school myself to gain a deeper understanding of the therapies and the needs of therapists. It was such an exciting and nerve-wracking time. I vividly remember walking through the doors of that first spa, knowing this was the start of a very special journey.
3. What do you love about spa and wellness?
For me, it's the ability to curate truly transformative wellness experiences. Seeing our guests leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and their best selves is incredibly rewarding. It's about more than just pampering; it's about helping people connect with themselves and prioritize their well-being. It can be life-changing!
4. What new wellness trends do you find most exciting?
I'm really excited about the rise of social wellness! It's fantastic to see people embracing recovery and wellness with their friends and family. Sharing the benefits of wellness as a community amplifies the positive impact. It creates a supportive environment and makes self-care more enjoyable and sustainable.

5. What’s the first thing you do after a long day at work?
After a long day, I love nothing more than to come home and spend quality time with my family. We'll often gather around the table and enjoy a delicious meal together. It's the perfect way to unwind and reconnect after a busy day. If it's been a shorter day, I find cooking for my family to be incredibly therapeutic.
6. What’s your favorite wellness treatment to receive and why?
I absolutely adore Vichy treatments! The combination of water therapy and body treatments is pure bliss. The cascading water and the skilled touch of the therapist just melt away tension and stress. It's my go-to for deep relaxation and feeling completely zen.
7. What’s your greatest accomplishment?
Overcoming adversity is something I'm incredibly proud of. We had a fire that closed down my first spa location, which was devastating. But, I persevered and was able to open my dream spa in Cypress. It was a challenging time, but it taught me resilience and strengthened my resolve.
8. What advice do you have for someone just getting started in the industry?
My advice is to truly find your passion within this vast industry and be intentional about everything you do. Whether it's specializing in a specific type of treatment or focusing on a particular aspect of wellness, pursue what truly excites you. And, remember to stay true to the process. Building a successful career in wellness takes time, dedication and a genuine commitment to your clients' well-being.
9. What’s one thing you can’t leave the house without?
I have two essentials that I never leave home without: mold-free coffee and electrolyte salt water. They're key to keeping me energized and hydrated throughout the day.
10. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Sharing a good bottle of red wine with friends and family. It's the perfect way to unwind, connect and celebrate life's simple pleasures.
11. Who or what inspires you?
My faith is a constant source of inspiration. I am incredibly grateful for the blessings in my life and the opportunities I've been given.
12. How do you practice self-care?
Self-care, for me, is about intention and gratitude. It's about taking the time to listen to what my body and mind need. Whether it's a quiet moment of reflection, a massage, or simply getting enough sleep, I prioritize activities that help me recharge and reset.
13. What is on your bucket list?
Traveling more! I'd love to explore different cultures and experience wellness traditions from around the world. I find the diversity of approaches to well-being fascinating and believe there's always something new to learn.
14. What's on the horizon for Escape Spa?
Expansion! We are so excited to be working on expanding Escape Spa in Spring 2025. We want to bring the Escape Spa experience to even more people and continue to grow our wellness community.
