The wellness industry has so many different aspects to it, but one of its key components is tending to the well-being of yourself and others. Someone who understands—and loves—this concept is Wallace Nelson, CNHP, CEO of M’lis. Nelson has a strong passion for helping others, but he puts a heavy focus on making sure he takes care of himself to be the best that he can be. We had the opportunity to learn more about Nelson’s love for the wellness industry into which he was born, and how he can’t think of anything better than getting to improve and impact the lives of the people around him.
How did you get started in this industry?
I was born into it. My mother, Dr. Linda Nelson, was one of the original pioneers in spa-based holistic wellness.
What’s the most fun part of your job?
Without a doubt, the best part of my job is celebrating big wins for the people and businesses that we serve. Helping to lift others up is what this industry is all about.
What’s your advice for someone just getting started in the spa and wellness industry?
I would tell them to always remember that this industry is built around service. Look for the mesh points where your passion and expertise meet your opportunities to improve the lives of those you want to serve. The point where those two things meet is where the magic happens.
What’s in the pipeline for M’lis?
M’lis is sponsoring monthly wellness events to get some f the top holistic health experts on the planet in front of anyone looking to improve their personal health and well-being.
